Our whole house filters use a special type of granular activated coconut carbon that removes chlorine, volatile organic chemicals (VOC’s), pesticides, herbicides, odors, Trihalomethanes (THMs) compounds, pharmaceuticals etc. These filters are installed close to the waters point of entry so they can filter the water in your entire house. They work similarly to a water softener by backwashing themselves every 3-7 days. Our filters use Pentair’s latest valve, the 5800 SXT for excellent flow rates and years of dependability.

When using a carbon filter on a chlorinated water source, it is recommended to place the filter on bypass once per year and run water through all faucets and showers for a few minutes each.

How it works: the carbon filter is installed at your water’s point of entry before or after any other filter or water softener. As the water goes through the media tank, the carbon media traps the contaminants and holds them until the unit backwashes. Similar to water softeners, the unit will backwash itself automatically, usually at around 2:00 am.

What an incredible product. I can not imagin taking a shower with regular water again . It feels so good to shower and brush my teeth and wash my vegetables without smelling chlorine in my watet. I also stoped itching.
